Danya Schlussel, MA is a 2022-2023 clinical psychology extern at Kurtz Psychology Consulting P.C. specializing in the treatment of disruptive behavior disorders and anxiety disorders. She earned her BA in Psychology at Brandeis University and her MA in General Psychology from Yeshiva University. Currently, Danya is pursuing her doctoral degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology at Yeshiva University.
Danya has received extensive training in evidence-based approaches for children, adolescents, and their families with a wide variety of challenges. She has completed previous training at Montefiore Medical Center’s Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center, the Parnes Clinic at Ferkauf, and Union City High School. She has received training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Parent Management Training, and training in providing cognitive behavioral interventions and academic interventions to children and their families.
Danya has experience providing interventions for children and adolescents with emotion regulation, executive functioning, academic, and social deficits. She has also provided family work. Additionally, Danya has collaborated with educators regarding student behavior and performance. She also has extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents and feedback sessions with parents. Danya is completing her doctoral dissertation research on the overlap in anxiety and executive functioning in children and adolescents.
